Ordered a 1/4 chicken meal with esquites plus chips. Everything was amazing. Very delicious local joint with a very simple menu (not a bad thing!!). The more options you get the more lost you sometimes become and this was a simple menu that hit the spot. Chicken had great flavor along with the rice and beans. Both had their own unique flavor that I was able to appreciate. The esquites/elotes tasted awesome. A small size will get you a long way. They give you big portions by the way. I could barely finish mine. Wonderful service and you could tell they had a lot of frequent locals especially since their staff was so friendly. They do have a large outdoor seating area. Great place overall and loved it.

Hot, quick, and delicious food! I loved the well seasoned and crispy chicken skin that shelled their very juicy chicken. Rice was cooked through with texture still and beans were seasoned well also. Came on a Tuesday and it felt like a Friday rush, the crowd speaks for the place. The tortillas were less fluffy as I imagined and more of a naan-like texture. Still yummy, so no complaints. The green sauce had a kick and the brown was reminiscent of a chili adobo sauce; both were really good and accompanied the meal. Even the moody bathroom was cute and on theme with the Mexican flair (the CLAY sink was so cute). Only draw back was that it was hot and humid in there. I woke in the back of the house/kitchen so I get it, but it's nice to enjoy a meal on my day off and not feel like I'm at work. Overall, great experience and I can't wait to revisit.

Everything was FANTASTIC. The food was seasoned well, and it was filling! I love the prickly pear margarita. The pinto bean with flour tortilla rocked my world.

I've had to eat here a few times to really appreciate it. At first, I thought it was kind of bland/dull. However, a few months later, something made me think about them again and I realized I wanted more. The location is kind of difficult to get to and the parking is limited. However, you have several outdoor and indoor seating available. The chicken is tasty. Maybe not as salty, but it's seasoned well and juicy. The beans they werve with the chicken and rice is great on it's own. I always ask for extra pico and tortillas which are definitly fresh. I highly recommend you try this place. It's portions are generous and going home with extras means i get to eat more tomorrow.

This is my third visit to Pollo Primo and so far are consistent! Reasonably priced! Pleaaaaassseeee never mind my butchering of the half chicken here ! I forgot to take a photo prior to and it looked so good. Fresh out! CHICKEN - well seasoned on the outside, juicy on the inside. RICE- cooked in chicken stock BEANS- also well seasoned GUACAMOLE- honestly super tasty and fresh! ALSO, Inexpensive compared to other places that charges a kagillion dollars. Frozen Margaritas w/ Hibiscus are super tasty and gives you the perfect punch you need. It'll sneak up on you! It comes with 4 house made tortillas to turn your meal into tacos! So, you might want to order a few more on the side if you're sharing or want to save some for later! There are four 4person booths on the inside and outside. On the outside there are a couple of bar like tables to eat as well! If you decide to order and pick up, you can drive right up to the window on the right side of the restaurant building! Wonderful service! Food comes out hot and fairly quickly! This is a great place to come and eat in solo, with family & kids or kick it with your homies!

Saw the good reviews on here and devised to give a try. I was not disappointed. There is a line out the door most days as I've passed by before and wanted to try. The chicken was fall off the bone juicy and tasty. Everything was really flavorful and would def try again as meal prep, with a bigger chicken of course. Would love to just come and sit on the patio and people watch as I did the first time.

Ditto. That is all I have to say, ditto to all the incredible reviews here! Food was amazing. The beans are now my new favorite Mexican beans anywhere! I will also say that while the rice was good, I have to agree with other reviewers, I have had better flavored rice elsewhere. But the star of the show here is the chicken anyway. It was moist and seasoned well. The skin could have been a tad bit crisper but not a big deal. The biggest issue was the seating, it could be a lot better and there could be a lot more of it. Outdoor space is not utilized well. They will have to figure that out. But if you are willing to rough it on the seating, the food is amazing.

I have been wanting to stop by Pollo Primo the very second I ran across them on Instagram - I just KNEW this place was going to be an instant favorite, and was I right! I'm actually writing this review as I leave. The menu is simple and straight to the point - different cuts/servings of chicken are served (you can order as a meal or on its own) and amazing yum beverages. It was pretty packed when we arrived but the line moves! They get you in and out. There's plenty patio seating and minimal seating inside. My boyfriend and I ordered 1/2 & 1/4 chicken meals with a side of sopa de pollo & guacamole. I've been living in Atlanta for ~10 years and this is truly one of the best meals I've had in my time here. Food is extremely fresh and as someone who can be quite sensitive to foods/ingredients, this is food I would return to time and time again. This is a buzzing, busy place but definitely somewhere to eat, relax and wind down after a long day. Also be sure to order an Agua Fresca/juice of the day, also made in house! To note, there is parking on the premises in front and around the back.

So bomb! I would consider the perfect meal. I got the 1/4 pollo meal. It comes with seasoned rice, beans, corn tortillas, pico de gallo, and sauces. You can choose either dark and white meat with this meal. Definitely choose dark meal for a more juicy bite! Service was pretty quick. I got my meal within 5 minutes. You order/pay at the counter and they call you up to the counter when your food is ready. They had outdoor and indoor seating. Outdoors can be a little loud since it's near the street, but still was a good experience. I would definitely come again!

Indeed some of the best chicken in ATL!!! I loved Supremo Tacos and heard they opened this spot so figured it wouldn't miss. I grabbed a to-go order for half chicken meal that came with rice & beans along with chips & guacamole and churros. Everything bite was phenomenal!! And kudos to them for including the 3 sauce options! - flavorful, juicy, spice forward, and clearly made with love. You can easily feed a family off of the half or whole meal at a reasonable price.
